Sat Jan 07, 2006 5:28 pm

Would anyone here know how many frequencies and seats Emirates are entitled to operate to Australia?

Thanks

Thats a truckload of capacity. I wonder how many of these will carry on to AKL/CHC? If any.

As NZ1 said they go to AKL/CHC, that is usually done in the A345. Though most flight go to Dubai and some then cotinue onto LHR.

EK shouldn't be entitled to 80 flights weekly. Thats just flooding the market, EK hasn't been in the market over here for that long and its a mokery to other airlines that have worked extremely hard to get where they are now.

Well surely the type of competition EK brings can only be a plus for the average Aussie consumer? I realzie EK have some unfair advantages but QF too has benefited from some favours here and there.

Thats said I don't think they will need the added slots when/if they start using the 380 down under.

Just to clarify, my initial question was how many frequencies and seats Emirates are entitled to operate to Australia under the current Australia-UAE bi-lateral?

Would anyone know?

Thanks
