Two words: Virgin Atlantic.
Most 777's have PTV's, and definitely American's.
Whatever you do, it's Virgin Atlantic across the pond.
American is good too, with their A300's. Was on one last summer.
My thoughts,
AA737-800

Kuwait Airways has very good service. Definitely beats any US airline. I, personally, think VS is overrated. They are cramped in Economy.

Can't speak for the others, but UA777's and 767's that operate EWR/JFK - LHR have PTV's throughout

EWR-LGW

Look at the facts. CO rated best US carrier across the Atlantic by JDPowers, Fortune Mag.

I feel the CO B777 is very comfortable in back with the 3-3-3 seating as opposed to DL, and AA's (2-5-2) .

We do LGW-EWR twice a day. With the 11:15am flight being the triple7.

And question for AA737. Young man how many times have you crossed the Atlantic on a AA flight?
I've crossed it twice on DL, Virgin once, Alitalia twice, and CO, over a hundred times, both flying, and riding.

Good call on wanting to avoid BA- my past 2 flights on them between JFK and LHR in coach have been poor...

Virgin, Kuwait, Continental, Emerates, Gulf Air and AL are great airlines. I suggest that you fly with them. Watch for British Midland to start service (JFK-LHR) route soon on A340-300 Aircraft.

Virgin Atlantic. Avoid BA at all costs, and UA/AA aren't that hot either. It's got to be Virgin or Continental. If you're on a really tight budget try Air-India (see my Trip Report). How about USAirways, do they serve Philadephia from London yet?
fly Saha Air 707s daily from Tehran's downtown Mehrabad to Mashhad, Kish Island and Ahwaz

To Delta15:

Why, yes it is true. UA most certainly does have PVS in Economy. They're on all UA's 767-300s, of which are operated from the U.S. to LHR (except some flights from some cities are with 777s, which also have PVS in coach).
