Martinair 767s Overflying

Fri Jan 13, 2006 1:15 am

Hi there,

Can anyone out there help me identify two Martinair 767s that I saw overflying my home in northern England within about 15 minutes of each other at about 14:15 and 14:30 GMT this afternoon? Both were heading west, towards Pole Hill VOR.

Presumably they would have both originated from AMS sometime after 14:00 local.

Any help would be appreciated.

Tim.

Is that a direct flight or do the PAX have to deboard at MCO to get on that A320? I heard that MP was supposed to fully drop SJO and only operate it through the A320 they wetleased from LR.

As far as I know, you are right. MP no longer flies to SJO with their own aircraft but leases the A320 of LR which looks very nice in full MP colours in my opinion Big grin

When the 767-300 lands here in Orlando (MCO) there is 737 all white with Martinair titles that arrives coincidentaly at the same time from SJO and then it returns back to SJO just as the 767 returns to AMS...

Interesting and surprising. I thaught MP terminated their agreement with Miami Air and now uses the MP-painted A320 from LR. Is MP now working with both Miami Air and LR on their SJO flights or does LR only fly from MIA and Miami Air only from MCO?

.

Martinair is currently flying MO/TH/FR between MCO and SJO, and TU/WED/SAT/SUN from MIA to SJO. MP is using a leased A320 from TACA. Before MP leased aircraft from Miami air and Lasca but now all flights are operated by Taca crew.

Yes MP is using their 767-300ER's quite a lot! Like workhorses. MP will keep their 763 aircraft until 2008 and most likely will buy the A330 aircraft.

AMS
