DHL 727 Go Around At AKL

Tuesday January 10th a DHL 727 freighter was about to land on top of an
SQ 744 on his take off roll. At least it looked like that from where I was. At least they where very close. At the moment the 744 was rotating the 727 made a sharp left turn and a steep climb with an incredible noise while it left a trail of smoke. Quite impressive but also a bit scary to see that.
Now this freighter had 9 horses on board! Imagine the situation on board and while offloading them!

I'd hate to be the guy off loading the horses.
Those 727s are blinking noisy buggers. They fly over my house in
AKL and ther really pack a punch

noisy on the outside, quiet on the inside, i remember travelling on the rnzaf 727 and it was one of the most quietest/smoothest flights i have ever been on

I also saw it from the
NZ Maintenance carpark, it was tight, but the go around was not needed really - The pilot actually really looked like he was having some fun, his manoevres were exaggerated, but it made for some good photos.

Actually my colleagues had to do that. Hence we had a bit of a laugh when we saw that go around knowing there where horses on board.
