Legend's Terminal Is A Bust...

Mon May 29, 2000 7:21 am

The exterior of Legen's DAL terminal sure is a bust! From the pictures (CGI's) which Legend had, they showed it as if it was going to be a wonderfully-built, good looking, extravagant glass building, but instead it looks like some cheap mobile home!

Are there any plans to upgrade the terminal?

You probably need to see it from the inside before you can make a final assumption. You'd be surprised at how many awesome terminals look absolutely horrible from the outside.

I'd have to agree with you on that one....it seems like some sort of a spinoff of a Midwest Express..looks like a pretty cool airline though

You Gotta See The Inside- And The Front

Mon May 29, 2000 3:44 pm

Are you basing that opinion on that picture? Oh, get real!

How many terminals (modern era) look worth a crap from the cockpit?

The front looks just fine and, most importantly, the access for pax is virtually instantaneous- no traffic fight (access is NOT by the main DAL feeder); you can drive up five minutes prior to flight-time, and make your plane no sweat. I know, I did it.

And the gate areas are luxurious, computers and phones available for use pre-flight, coffee and snacks, and a security check point dedicated *only* to Legend pax.

The separate terminal thing is good for saving twenty to thirty minutes, easy, at both departure and arrival. To my eyes, that makes Legend's terminal a beautiful gem.

Take Singapore Changi for example - If you're looking at it from the plane on your first arrival into SIN it doesn't look that good at all, but once you step in - man, thats one awesome airport - and nothing short of just that!
I've flown on 9V-SPK.

The reason it looks like that is because the gates are only built for one type plane!
