Club World 777 Seat In BA

Tue Jan 17, 2006 8:18 pm

Hi everybody!

I've got a question. On the LGW-MCO route, the seat 4K - has it a good window view? On the pictures of BA's 777s I see no windows at the back of the first cabin.

Is it a galley or have I chosen a wrong seat? I see that there is no First Class on the flight, so was just wondering if the last windows are 4K and then the galley or will I sit with no view whatsoever....  Sad

Any info would be appreciated.

Regards,

I recommend going to http://www.seatguru.com/ and select British Airways and then the 777. It will tell you what your seat is like.

I bet it's in front of the galley: I was on 10J once in F-J-Y config, and my row was the first Club row, and also the first behind the galley, 1-9 being F. So consider yourself seated in J+!!

Happy flying!

I have done that, but they only have the version WITH First Class, so Club World starting at row 10.

My flight hasn't got First Class so Club World starts from row 1.

LO231

4K is a rearfacing seat next to the bulkhead of the galley

Seating starts at row 2

Row 1 is a closet

Cheers!

So that means that these closed windows ARE a galley and I will have a view after all?

It's a great seat - 4A and 4K are my seats of choice on the 3-class 777s and I flew in both seats LGW-MCO-LGW last year. There are windows. It's the last row before the galley but the crew are meant to (I say meant to as this is what I've been told, although they didn't on my flights) prepare everything in the forward galley so you shouldn't suffer any noise (not that I did anyway, they were very good and I slept perfectly well once some damn kids had stopped screaming). 4A/K have the added advantage of having nobody to climb over to get out of them and they are very private and comfortable...have a good trip!

YAY! Thanks for the info! I'll make sure I'll take a lot of pics and write a trip report. I've only been on BA's upper deck, 777 in C is new for me.

The return is from MIA, so upper deck here I come again  Smile

I have a question - Does BA even have a 777 in a two class config, even on their leisure market?

It leads me to wonder if it's a 'F' class seat, with 'J' class service. Just as EHHO says:

If so, good luck to you!

I think they only have 3 and 4 - class configuration. The 3-class 777s are based in LGW, if I'm not mistaken...

That's strange, you're quoting me, but it wasn't my question   ..

Anyway, there must be more configurations for 3-class 777s, as I mentioned I'm seated in 4K on one of these.

According to the 2nd chart I have my bed in a crew rest.

Don't know why it quoted you LO231 when it was Aussieindc I was quoting!

Look below the chart, which is for the LHR three-class aircraft, and you will see that G-VIIO, G-VIIP and G-VIIR are listed as the LGW three-class aircraft. G-VIIT has also been reconfigured this way too I believe. Basically, add seats 4F, 4G, 4J and 4K where the closet and crew rest are shown on the diagram for the LHR three-class aircraft, and I think you'll have your LGW layout (Though it seems an extra 4 World Traveller seats are squeezed in somewhere too).

I had 4k on a recent trip to ATL. The crew also used the centre galley and disocuraged pax from using the forward lavs etc
