Hey there. One thing I have been looking at for a while now, is getting a helicopter license. I started my PPL-A, but dropped it when I ran out of money. I haven't picked it back up, as I don't foresee a career flying planes. However, helicopters seem to be a whole different ballgame.
A couple of questions:
1. While initial cost of training is higher, is it easier to get a job due to the lower amount of pilots?
2. What can you expect in starting pay as a helicopter pilot?
3. This one is directed at Law Enforcement officers. If your department has an aviation unit, how easy is getting in there? I will have a BA in Law Enforcement, and if I go ahead with my plans, also hold CFI/CFII in helicopters.
