Royal Jordanian Ending Kolkata

Thu Jan 19, 2006 1:07 pm

A mixed week for Kolkata, because even though they have gained Emirates, they are losing Royal Jordanian service at the end of the winter timetable on 28 March. Royal Jordanian flies to Kolkata, India 2x weekly via Mumbai, but I believe until very recently the service was non-stop (anyone know for sure)?

Here is an article from back in December when it was "seculated". It is indeed now confirmed:

What type of a/c were they operating with? EK have been a behemoth and I think you'll see many airlines slowly cut back service... more and more. Yikes

RJ got a lot of cargo from CCU, but the flight was a pain for many people. With EK providing direct non-stop service I guess RJ has decided to cut a station.
