BE 737 At EXT

Fri Jan 20, 2006 8:32 am

My father saw a BE 737 at between 1230 and 1pm at EXT today. What flight was it operating? Does BE ordinarily operate 737 machines from EXT?

When you say BE, do you mean JY?

And JY don't operate B737's out of EXT very often.

Thanks

No he means BE. The company has not held the JY designator code for quite a few years now, in fact since the company re-branded as British European which as well all know has subsequently become flybe.com.

Sorry, I should also add, I think that was entirely what inspired Pe@rson's question when he said...

Not correct

flyBE have had a 737 based at Exeter since the beginning of the 2005 summer season - still there through the winter operating schedules to Mediterranean destinations (e.g today, to/from Faro, tomorrow to/from Malaga)

flyBE 737 flights are operated by Astraeus aircraft

flyBE also have a couple of 737s based at BHX
I don't like signatures...

Thanks.

How dumb am I? BE flies 733 machines to FAO 2x weekly, AGP x3 weekly, etc., from EXT. So, it was hardly an unusual thing.

EXT is, in fact, my local airport - I live 1 hour away - but I don't pay much attention to it really.

I know FlyBE as JY, and so does the A.net database. I just don't use BE.

And yes, i was wrong about the flights. I thought the B733's were only operated from LGW, MAN and BHX.

Thanks
Mike

Three 737's (G-STRA, G-STRE, and S-STRI) are based at BHX (2) and EXT (1). The aircraft are AEU aircraft operated by Astraeus with AEU flight deck crews, operational control and maintenance support. This winter they have been operating W pattern flights through NWI. Now and again you'll see AEU cabin crew working along side the Flybe cabin crew as we complete line checks on them as they are trained to our operating procedures.

The times you may of seen them at MAN and LGW would of when they had been operating for Astraeus

Move on my friend, it's not something to be sentimental about.

and so does the A.net database

Attention all Mods, can we have the database updated please...???

I have seen the 737's at Glasgow recently at around 8am - does anyone know what flight that is operating?

I would suggest the 09:05 to BHX, however that's not an informed opinion, just an educated guess. Can anyone else confirm or deny just out of interest...???
