KL offers newspapers on all non European flights in both C and M class. The newspapers are presented on a trolley at the boarding door. They offer Dutch newspapers (Telegraaf, AD
, Volkskrant and FD
), US newspapers (Wall Street journal, USA Today), British newspapers (Guardian, HT, FT
) and sometimes local newspapers depending on destination.
On European flights newspapers are available for Europe Select passengers only, with the exception of CDG
flights. For flights to CDG
both Europe select as well as economy passengers are offered a newspaper at the gate (French, Dutch, English). The latter is due to the AF
is offering newspapers on all flights for all passengers and demanded that for all codeshare flights from AMS
as well. I wonder when -or if- KL
will do that for the rest of its flights.
It is a minor service, but highly appreciated by the passengers.
On my recent flight with NW
, NO newspapers were offered on the AMS
leg (in WBC!), but the return from MSP
(in Y) FAs walked (or better:ran) through the aisles with US and Dutch newspapers.
