Transfer Between Terminals At BOS

Sat Jan 21, 2006 5:07 am

Are the terminals at BOS connected in the secure area? What about landside? I'm especially interested in getting from E to A. Thanks in advance.

No. Well, except that the three gates in Terminal D are connected to the secure area of Terminal E.

Landside they are connected by skybridges with moving walkways and a bus that runs about every 10-15 minutes. If you take the bus, you want route 11. You pick up the bus by going to the arrivals level and going out to the bus curb. You do NOT want the MBTA Silver Line. When you get to Terminal A (the next stop after E), go up the escalators in the terminal to the departures level.

If you take the skybridges, go up to the level above departures and follow the skybridge to Central Parking. Continue straight ahead and you'll be on the skybridge to Terminals A and B; follow the signs to get to A.

You're screwed! To get to A from any of the other terminals you have to leave the secure area. There are nice covered walkways though.

Not connected airside however the walk from E to A although i tmay seem long, it's really not that bad and it's mostly covered by moving walkways. It should take you about 10 minutes. There are shuttle buses but when you factor in the wait time and travel time, it may take longer than to walk, but it's a better option if you're carrying a lot of lugage.
