Pilots And Delivery/test Flights

Sun Jan 22, 2006 12:04 am

Hi Y'all !!

Hows your Saturday ?? Mines ok...boring really.
Anyway.. Just sat here thinking..
What do Pilots/FO's wear on delivery or test flights ?? do they have to wear full white shirt, stripes, hat and blazer ?
or can they wear Jeans and a tee-shirt (maybe one that says 'Im a flyboy' on it?  Smile ) Anyway I was just wondering as Ive seen pics with pilots in the cockpit wearing casuals..

Regards to all my fellow aviationists...

Jordan

Hi Jordan

No. But, it really depends on the airline. I've done many delivery flights wearing only a polo shirt and slacks. Very low keyed and relaxing.

Are you an SQ captain ?
I remember talking to an SQ captain a while ago when I worked for SQ in London and arranged to meet up in Stratford upon avon at a pub called the dirty duck (a nice country pub)...

unfortunatley I left the airline before he came back from his latest trip to SIN.

You work In SIN i wouldnt have thought they would have been so casual...

I didn't appreciate it at the time but now realize I was lucky and my Dad asked the cabin crew if my brother and I could visit the flight deck.
