? SAS De-icing Problems Over The Weekend?

Mon Jan 23, 2006 6:37 pm

Hi all,

Can anyone confirm that SAS has major disruptions over the weekend due to de-icing in Copehagen, and Stockholm? Rumour has it, (and we all know what rumours are!) that they ran out of de-icing fluid. Can this be confirmed?

Kind regards,

Copenhagen was shutdown friday, with practically all afternoon and evening departures cancelled. This was due to the weather, with winds disabling one runway, heavy glaze and snow preventing the other to be used.

This made problems for SAS saturday, as crew and aircrafts wasn't the right places, so they had to cancel a lot of flight too.

Don't know about ARN though..
Last flight: SAW-CPH on H9 on 02/11/09 - Next Flights: 23/12/09 CPH-AAL on QI, 30/12/09 CPH-LHR on SK, 19/01/10 CPH-CDG-

There were some disturbances in the air traffic in Sweden before and during the weekend due to the weather. I heard nothing about problem with de-icing though.
