UA 763s To HNL

Tue Jan 31, 2006 2:12 am

Hello,

I am trying to figure out which version of the 763 UA is using on the DEN-HNL link. Is it the international ER version (according to seatguru.com) or the domestic one?

Can anyone help me with this, so I know wich seat to request in my booking?

Except for the occasional sub, ALL aircraft flying US-Hawaii on UA are domestically configured 2-class.

Yes, they are all two class aircraft. United's 3-class ships are all flying internationally (where the real $$$$$ is).

On the bright side, I just flew HNL-LAX on a 767-322, and the aircraft was spotless inside and out - I thought it was a brand new plane!!  bigthumbsup

Actually, international flying makes more money than domestic routes EXCEPT hawaii...thats really been the cash cow for the airlines.

When I flew on UA100 LAX-ORD in November,it came in from HNL on the red-eye. It was a 2-class 763 - my first time on a 2-class 763. I like the int'l ones,they have PTV's.

The domestic 763 that we flew on from KOA to SFO was a very nice aircraft. Even though there weren't PTVs, it was very clean, and the eco + cabin was very nice.

Since when? Hawaii is just like LAS and NAS. Just someplace for the airlines to have FF members dump their miles. It is because of this that the fares are typically high.
It's a big building with patients, but that's not important right now.

Profit margins on Mainland North America - Hawaii flights are marginal at best. It's a huge dumping ground for frequent flyer point redemption.

Hawaii usually gets domestic B763s, but occasionally you'll see this:
