Mesh Curtains

Tue Jan 31, 2006 9:51 am

Now that several US airlines are (finally) installing curtains after 9/11, does anyone have pictures of them? I know they're not the same as the old ones....but I'd just like to see what I'm in for the next time I fly a 2 class aircraft.

Continental has installed some blue mesh curtains in its domestic fleet. They are not the same as the the old curtains, but they do a pretty good job of blocking traffic flow between the cabins. They aren't really that transparent, but they still allow minimal visibility into what is happening on the other side of the curtain.

You will see it if you enlarge this picture.

HP has installed a pleasant gray see through current on all of its aircraft. But either the flight attendant or pilot will usually make an announcement saying it's okay to still use the forward lav as long as passengers wait behind the curtain.

AS is installing them aboard their entire fleet as well.

I'm not stuck up or anything that I care about peopel LOOKING into F (especially since many times I'm in the front of Y).It's just a pain when people go into your bathroom and you have to wait. I mean if there's a line of 40 people in Y and the F bathroom is empty, then it's more than okay.
