I was curious if any positions in Thailand or BKK, at an Airline or Airport, where they would actually have no problem providing a work permit? since I am a US Citizen and I need a work permit in order to work in Thailand. Id like to work at Don Muang, I need a break from the US aviation scene and most of my family is in Thailand anyway.
Or it must be done by moving very high up at some company back home that has service in Thailand and request a transfer.
Id go as low as a Baggage Handling Supervisor, but the last interview I had in thailand, they said the pay was too low for me and I was too qualified, I was desperate to tell them I had no problem with the pay, but its the way management works out there. I really never understood why they bothered
to interview me anyway since they had my resume on hand stating all the
"overqualifications." They also were told ahead of time that I had no workpermit. They dont let people with too much experience
do lower level jobs, which makes it harder.
It seems all the foreigners I notice at like Don Muang are senior level management or station managers, but hardly anything below. I can handle Duty Manager which I have done before, but not a City Manager yet.
