I knew JetBlue's ops started first and that the 320's were equipped thusly from the start; I had read somewhere, at the time (Feb.-Mar.?) that JetBlue's satTV units were not yet approved and operational at start-up. Sorry if I was wrong on that one.
When I used them on Legend, I expected all kinds of signal drops during maneuvering (acquiring and keeping a good sat signal can be tough when you're sitting still!), but the engineers have obviously done their work quite well; the system seems very reliable and I suspect that before long, such a service may migrate from being a perk, to being an expected one.
As I sit here at my desk, I look out my office window toward DAL, and am watching the jets climb out from Love Field; AA F100's, WN 737s of all type, Legend DC-9's and CoEx ERJ's. I love this location!
