Sounds like a prox sensor fault or LGCIU fault

Quote:
After the plane was able to return to the gate, many passengers waited at the airside terminal for the computer repair and the overdue takeoff

Computer repair meaning replacing it! No way they can repair the LGCIU - it's got the be the manufacturer for that!

What are 'code red' conditions...?

Kinda sad -funny... You can't taxi because of the gear indication. You can taxi with the gear pins in, but can't put those in because the ramp is closed due to lightening...

Wow, over ten years working at airports and I've never heard it called 'code red'.

#1- Ted is ALL Airbus.. No more explination needed.

#2- They are testing an experimental hover-gear system, where the "gear" is actually an anti-grav unit..

Not the most uncommon fault. I've know many aircraft in my days (MD-11, 747s, Airbus etc..) switch into flight mode while still on the ground!

Too many computers...!! When when the steering card fails does the nose gear turn 90degs..?? Just ask JetBlue about that one.
