(ex-Gulf Air) Delta 767-300 Scheduling

Mon Feb 06, 2006 7:34 am

Good evening,
My first new topic on for a while  Smile.

I noticed that Delta is sending its six ex-Gulf Air B767-300ER aircraft to Dublin, Manchester and Shannon all the time recently. I was wondering whether anyone of the lots of DL workers here has any idea why these specific aircraft end up on these routes so often? Any specific configuration?

I don't remember seeing the exact same aircraft in Shannon so often when I still lived there two years ago and from looking at recent registration logs I get from local spotters at these airports, there seem to be a lot of movements with these six aircraft.

I suppose its just the way the schedules worked. My last 4 trips to Spain have been on -3P6ER aircraft. Pretty nice if you get the "bulkhead" seats in right behind the second set of doors in economy.

Aren't those destinations that Delta intends on using their 767-400ERs internationally?
