American Airlines will be adding mainly seasonal frequencies between Miami and the Caribbean and Central America this summer. The TGU flights have been added every summer, the rest are new.

In addition, Providenciales, which recently went to 19x weekly, will return to 3x daily year-round on 03Apr06. And Washington Dulles, which was previously 1x daily during the summer and 2x daily during the winter, will go 2x daily year-round, with a daily American Eagle ERJ-140 being added in addition to the daily 757 on 03Apr06.
San Salvador will be temporarily reduced from 12x weekly 738 to 7x weekly AB6 between 03Apr06-05Sep06, at which point it is slated to become 14x weekly (7x AB6/7x 738).
Also, American Airlines will suspend New York City/JFK-Puerto Plata flights on 29Apr06. AA has successfully served this route for years, but the addition of Santiago to their network has huge effects on traffic (STI and POP are 24 miles apart). The suspension is indefinite, but I'd bet it will be back for next winter.
