Safety Speach On 1 Flight Attendant Planes

Thu Jun 01, 2000 12:12 pm

Hello every one!

I was just wondering, How are the safety features pointed out [you know, To fasten your seat belt... in case an oxygen mask falls out...etc]? Is there a recorded message and the 1 FA on that plane does the demonstration? Or is there a video [I higly doubt TVs in CRJs and such]?

Thanks!

On the smaller props, the F/A just speaks loudly while demonstrating and ignores the PA system. I have even seen that done on an empty E-120.

On larger aircraft (ATRs, CRJs and some E-120s) the F/A alternates between speaking on the PA and demonstrating the devices.

On American Eagle flights, the announcements are played over the PA system from a CD. Meanwhile, the flight attendany demonstrates the use of safety equipment.
