Banja Luka To Valley - What Type Of Plane?

Sun Feb 12, 2006 8:19 pm

A friend of mine is flying from Banja Luka to RAF Valley today (she is a civilian meteorologist working with the British Army but is an RAF reservist). Does anyone know what kind of plane it would be on? I am guessing the Hercules, but I'd like confirmation one way or the other. It was meant to operate yesterday, but it was delayed 24 hours due to the plane being "…really old and patched together with bodge tape." Thank you.

Tim.

AWESOME! I want to go on the Tristar to the Falklands, apparently the service is worse than Delta and the price is about £3000 but still, a ten hour flight in a Tristar to fly to an English village that somehow got marooned on a rock in the middle of the South Atlantic...WOW!!
fly Saha Air 707s daily from Tehran's downtown Mehrabad to Mashhad, Kish Island and Ahwaz

Really? How do you know? If it is - and I'm CERTAINLY not doubting you at all - I'll have to give her a kiss or better to get me onto her next flight.  Wink

Thanks.

Could you give me some more details, then? Times, route, etc? Do you have a map or anything?

Thanks.

Wait, is 8200 feet enough for a Tristar to get up? (BNX)
What now?

It wouldn't be that heavy, fuel-wise, considering the flight time (including wind) would probably be 2 1/2 hours-3 hours max.
