Visiting Everett Field

Tue Feb 14, 2006 7:52 pm

Hi,

I will be in the Tacoma-Seattle area this weekend and was interested in checking out Boeing's commercial airliner assembly plant at Everett field. I was wondering if people here have done this, how to arrange it, what they show on a tour and whether they are open on the weekends. I wasn't able to find a website from Boeing, but if one exists, by all means let me know.

Thanks for your info!

This site should contain all of the information you need:
http://www.futureofflight.org

To sum it up, the tours are offered daily. A brand-new museum opened in December and is now the launch point for the tour. $15 will gain you a day's admission plus a tour, I believe. Paine Field is a great place, and while I haven't had the chance to go inside the museum yet, it looks great from the outside!

For the record, the bigger Museum of Flight is at Boeing Field in Seattle, and I'd recommend a stop there as well: http://www.museumofflight.org
