Well here they are folks for the month of April. This is performance for all the majors. What do you think? Opinions? Comments?

Personally I think Delta shines on this one. The fact that Delta can rank so high and also carry more passengers than any other airline in the world. They must be doing something right. Continental is continuing to have a pretty good year, and have steadily climbed this year. US Air, hey guys not bad on the complaints, even after potential strike this year. American, and United: you guys had some pretty bad weather in ORD that month so I won't comment on the lower rankins.

i would have to agree with you on the sucess of Delta. with all the pax we carry. i am shocked with our DBC counts. kudos to all the airlines last month. we all did a good job considering all the waether problems we had.

Spinmaster I completely agree with the success of those Denied Boarding Passengers. Delta has taken the largest jump in this category hands down in this past year. They got a bum rap on media articles last year that twisted the numbers around. Yes last year Delta had the most denied boardings, but their PERCENTAGE was better than most. DOT SPEAKS PERFORMANCE!

For everyone who says HP SUCKS at everything... look again at on time % and mis-handled bags....seems to me that we don't suck at everything. CAn we still improve? Hell yes. But we seem to be headed in the right direction.

WE ALL CAN IMPROVE. WE NEED TO STRIVE TO BE THE BEST IN WHAT WE DO. WE CAN'T LET THE GOVERNMENT TELL US HOW TO RUN OUR BUSINESSES.

Alaska's baggage handling performance is pretty awesome, considering they were 9th this time last year.

Conversely, the complaint rate is NINE TIMES higher than it was last year...mainly due to cancelled flights. Things seem to be much better now that AS has trimmed their schedule, provided Alaska can convince the FAA that they are actually very safe now, and can conduct their own heavy maintenance checks.

The numbers at American for bumping don't tell the whole story. American has tons of voluntary bumps.
However, TWA and Alaska have a low rate of voluntary bumps. Personally, I don't see the significance in voluntary/involuntary. When an airline is overbooked, its overbooked--period. They all pretty much seem to offer the same incentives to voluntarily take a later flight.
