Gulfair New First- And Business Class

Mon Feb 20, 2006 11:12 pm

I just came back from a photoshoot with Gulfair.
I flew back in the New Business Class onboard the A330-200.

The new seats where very good.
I sleept very well

Do you think they have a great FC and BC product as well?
Who has flown with them?
What about the Business Lounge at Bahrain?

Here are some photo's

But most important of course the GF special

Wow fabulous set of pics. Thoroughly enjoyed viewing all of them. All I can is James Hogan and his team have done a credible job turning around this airline !

Did you have to gain permission from GF management to access the lounge and other areas to take pics ? As you featured quite a few bits never seen before.

First and business class looks great. GF will be doing them same on its A340 fleet so i'd expect service levels to go up further, especially on the Sydney route.

Againh, thanks for sharing the album buddy ! looks like you had a nice trip to Bahrain.

Regards,
Shabaz

Yes I got special permission for taking those photo's. The Business Lounge was empty ( only 2 persons ) that is why I could make such a nice photoshoot. That is also why I got inside the Cabin Crew school.

Yes there is a lot of difference between the old and new product. Heard also that they are upgrading the 340 aircrafts

i always wondered why the a340s haven't been retrofitted and have to say it's about time. they may be cheap from australia-uk, but their old business class product looks terrible. i certainly wouldn't pay for it.

interesting thing will be to see how gf can compete with other flat-bedders on the kangaroo route like sq, cx, tg, mh, and not least ek!!

i have a question - could gf's a340s operate bah-syd non-stop like ek's dxb-syd? if they could, would it be worthwhile eliminating the stopover in sin?

I don't think that will be possible. It might just be a little bit too far
