Edinburgh-London City-Edinburgh - How Performing?

Wed Feb 22, 2006 9:52 pm

How is BA/TH and CB performing on EDI-LCY-EDI? BA/TH operates 5 flights per weekday using the AR1, and CB 9 using the D38.

The BA/TH fare, including everything, seems to start at about £94 return, of which well over half is tax and other things (as expected from LCY). CB's all-in fares are from about £117 returm.

Although I understand the demand from EDI, I am surprised that there is no LCY-GLA service. Didn't BA/TH used to fly this?

BA tried a GLA-LCY flight 2-3 years ago, but switched it to EDI instead.

The Royal Bank Of Scotland block books a lot of seats on EDI-LCY, and from the trip reports ive seen most of them get used, with the flights operating pretty much full during peak times.
