TACA announced the termination of its AA partnership last year.

Some one has already started the TA+UA topic United Enters In To Codeshare With Taca (by UAL777UK Feb 27 2006 in Civil Aviation)

Smart move for all involved. TA didn't need AA to get its customers to U.S. entry points, and now will use UA to get them into the U.S. interior instead of AA, and AA certainly did not need TA to give it access to anywhere major in Central America. Interestingly enough, though, American Eagle still owns 20% of TACA's Panama regional partner, Aero Perlas.

I have been expecting this for a loooong while as AA competes with to many TA routes and UA's LAX hub is excelent for the Asia-Central America conections. Many of us have been thinking about a Star Alliance entry, maybe this is the begining... hope so!

Anyways, I will once again be a customer of UA! I need the distancia miles...  Wink

Congrats to both
