CO 757 Update

Wed Mar 01, 2006 1:41 am

I haven't read anything about this in a while. I was just curious of the progress of the various CO 757 projects. The ATA 753s: How many in service, who many to go? The existing 753 24F upgrade? The 752 BizFirst AVOD upgrade. Any new 757-224s go BizFirst recently? And what of the rumors that all 752s will go BizFirst?

Thanks for satisfying my curiosity.

At last report 23 of CO's 41 752s has received their winglets.

Somebody else can provide the interior news. Entertainment systems aren't my thing.  Smile

IIRC the new AVOD system will initially be included in the 752 BF conversion process, with retrofits to current BF 752s to be scheduled afterwards. This sounds like a win-win to me - CO gets an extra row of coach seats while also bringing the BF cabin entertainment up to current industry "standards". Interestingly this means that the 752s will actually have something on their big brothers 767 and 777. It is unfortunate, however, that the new entertainment system really will not change much in coach until they decide to upgrade seats.
