Thomas Cook today reported that it returned to making profit after a four year absence!

The German company had a net profit of 105.4m euros ($127m/£72m GBP), compared to a previous 176.4m euros loss.

Sales also saw a rise to 7.66bn euros, previously at 7.48bn euros!

Total passenger numbers also saw a rise of 1.1%

"Thomas Cook UK and Ireland achieved the best level of profitability, while [German airline] Condor recorded the biggest improvement in earnings," said Thomas Cook finance chief Ludger Heuberg.

On a side note, for those of you who don't know... Thomas Cook (UK) are to receive an additional A330-243 for long haul charter operations. The aicraft will come directly from Airbus

Also are Thomas Cook/Condor in a financial postion to order new aicraft, perhaps A350/787?

On a side note, will Condor receive any more additional 763's?

Used to work for JMC so its good news to see that they are back on track. Lets hope they dont reg the new A440 G-OTCX as the company seems to rebrand itself shortly after registering an aircraft as "GO" "COMPANY FLIGHT CODE."
