Expanding is hardly the word considering everything DL has CUT from PVD!

Sounds like a Dash-8 maybe?

From boston.com:

Airline to fly nonstop to N.Y. from T.F. Green, Bradley

March 8, 2006

Delta Air Lines said it will begin offering the only nonstop flights from the Providence and Hartford/Springfield airports to New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport Aug. 15 as part of a plan aimed at bringing more passengers into JFK for overseas and transcontinental flights. The four daily round trips between JFK and T.F. Green State Airport in Warwick, R.I., and Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, Conn., will be operated by an affiliate, Freedom Airlines, with 37-seat turboprop planes. Fares have not been set. (Peter J. Howe)

The news clip is far from accurate. There are no LGA flights to compliment from PVD - unless US and DL are megering between now and August 15th...

The 46 flights to 17 destinations is from JFK - the way it is written, one could confuse these flights to be from PVD.

As RL stated DL has masively cut PVD in the last few months and I've heard rumblings that more cuts are on the way for May/June...

Having said all that, am I glad to see the 4 new JFK - you can bet your apples I am!

Well, congrats to PVD.... I only wish DL would come to ACY from JFK. Haven't seen that service since TW Express!!

At the risk of changing the subject, isn't this like the 100th time that DL has done the PHL-JFK???

I was just checking the proposed schedule from PVD to JFK... flights leave PVD at 7AM, 1115AM, 3PM and 7PM. Seems to me that the only flight with any "connecting power" will be the 3PM flight which is due into JFK at 4PM.

the 8:30 am ATL flight is no longer bookable this summer...im guessing its gone, very strangr since this flight was CONSISTANTLY the best performer. Was a 757 up till last summer, and even a 763 at peak times...hopefully someone forgot to load it, but given current DL trends at PVD im not optomistic.

I know, it's very sad. Even more so considering AA will be leaving us in a few weeks. I no longer use PVD, BOS for me.

That has been mentioned in certain circles, but never more than just talked about. With SFO in the mix now, I'd suspect we would see our DTW flight return first - maybe even 2X daily to offer a better schedule and take advantage of NW while their in a bit or turmoil at the moment.

Well good news for PVD. Hopefully the new services to PVD and BDL will be successful so DL might consider adding the service to MHT and PWM in the future.
