Southwest Returns To LAX With Shattered Window

Thu Mar 09, 2006 12:31 pm

Working Ramp Tower tonight I overheard an A/C returning on an emergency landing (roughly 1800-1830 local). Airfield Ops was doing an inspection of 24L, but the crew said it happened at 26,ooo feet. Things were quite for a while, then at 1930 local I hear a WN crew thank the LAX controllers for their help. I was not able to catch the flight number since I was working our frequency . Anyone at WN have the flight number? They said the window completely shattered.
