Fri Mar 10, 2006 12:27 am

I came across this on Ebay. How could this happen in UK airspace ? Do you think alot of people lost their jobs over this ? Any ideas ?

This photo is bogus in that it is simply showing aircraft in a holding pattern and they were at least 1000 feet apart. What you see is foreshortening of the apparent distance between them because of the long telephoto lens used. This was discussed on A.net about two weeks ago.

It's close, but NATS manage them like that daily, so it isn't a huge issue.

There was a thread a little while back about this one. As said...standard holding pattern and an optical illusion from the angle the picture was taken.

alot

It is spelled "a lot" not "alot." I learned this vauable grammar lesson many years ago. Just one thing that was beat into my head by a school teacher.

What a rip-off; the guy is trying to take advantage of an optical illusion...

What is your bridge got to do with those pics?

Seriously? Nothing at all. He doesn't own a bridge in Brooklyn. It's a nother way of saying what PT Barnum said with "There's a sucker born every minute."

The two jets were no where near a collision. It is an optical illusion and this guy has a couple of pics that he wants to try to bilk some money out of folks for them. You can probably Google "DHL JAL Collision" and find the same pics online.
