Jet Blue JFK-ONT-JFK Timetable

Fri Mar 10, 2006 7:23 am

Does anyone know when jetblue eliminated their morning flights from JFK-ONT and ONT-JFK? Their schedule now is 8:30PM departure from JFK and 12:30AM from ONT. Total joke. Just what everyone wants......late arrival and redeye coming home.

The second flight was dropped this past January because of poor loads.

They still have 6x out of LGB and 4x (5x this summer) out of BUR, if that helps at all...

ONT is a joke. It is far from the population center and even further from the business center of Los Angeles. That is why B6 moved into BUR. Demand at ONT is limited and LAWA cannot press B6 to serve it since they do not fly to LAX.

The NIMBYs are forcing the politicans to back a "regional plan" which mostly involves preventing any improvements at LAX and if that fails, the plan calls for removing gates at LAX. ONT is expected to pick up the slack because LGB and SNA are capped and BUR has night restrictions and a tiny terminal. The only thing that will send passengers to ONT is much lower fares than LAX, BUR, SNA or LGB.

ONT was one of jetBlue's first west coast markets and I don't think it has ever performed all that well for them.

For pax going to desert and points inland, ONT was great. Ride from BUR and LGB to PSP with LA gridlock can be four hours.

ONT is the closest airport to San Bernardino County and there are tons of people living there and everyday I arrive or depart from ONT, there seem to be more and more people passing through the airport.

more and more people passing through the airport.

Indeed, 2005 was another consecutive year of record passenger totals, reaching 7.2million.

The Inland Empire (San Bernardina & Riverside Counties) is the fastest growing region in California.

As years pass, Ontario will continue to see its traffic increase and is perfectly located to capture the regions economic and population growth.

ONT was our first west coast station and it has always performed well for us. However, the second flight is seasonal and may or may not come back. Otherwise, the redeye appears to always be full.

I was in the ONT area a couple of years ago and couldn't believe the amount of development. Huge industrial buildings practically as far as the eye could see. It certainly isn't some backwater.
