Hey, another Conti fan.

I thought the first -400 will be delivered in the fall. You may be right
though. Where are these babies going to be deployed? They have 21
on order. Europe, Hawaii, Latin America is my guess.

Continental has done very good. They have found a perfect DC-10 replacement in the 767/777 team. The 777 fills in quite nicely in the high capacity routes while the 767-400 will fit the lower capacity needs.

How could Continental get their 767-400 before Delta, the launch customer? Delta's isn't to be delivered until July.

I think it was a good move on CO's part. What are the chances that they will be replacing the 757 currently used on the Cleveland <-> London Gatwick route with new 767s?

I do not believe this report is accurate. Perhaps CO is about to receive its 1st 767-200. There is no report at the Boeing web site concerning early delivery of a 767-400 to CO. Delta is the launch cutomer for the 400 not CO.

I thought that Boeing ended production of the 767-200 sometime ago...is that true?

The 767-200 has been offered in the catalog all along, and Continental happens to be the only carrier recently who has needed the -200ER. It uses the same wing, systems, engines, and mostly the same fuselage as the -300 and -300ER. These will be the only -200's with the newer interior. Should be quite a bird!

CO will NOT receive it's first 764 until Sept. of this year, it's first 762 until Oct. Perhaps someone has confused the beginning of final assembly of the first CO 764 with the delivery of same?
