Eastern Airlines Expansion

Fri Mar 24, 2006 6:32 pm

Reading about Eastern (T3) taking on 3 routes, that's a sizable expansion for the summer.

Anyone know if the are getting extra equipment?

They still need an aircraft...Saab or Jetstream, of there own for LCY.

I here there unhappy with e Cirrus D328 situation due to Tech issues.

I believe a single J41 will be based at CWL for ABZ and BRU, and an additional J41 @ NCL for CWL flights.
And yes, the Do328 didn't have the best of starts but it appears to be doing ok recently. Anyone know the loads for NCL-LCY?

Loads are good, but there are still a couple of issues.

Last week they leased ATR42's from Air Atlantique, or maybe Cirrus Sub-chartered...due to repositioning issues...don't know if it was crew or aircraft.

Does the aircraft stay in NCL at weekends???

J41 additions: MAJP enters service imminently. MAJU/V are being prepared and we have three United Express J41s at HUY.

It's Eastern Airways by the way - Eastern Airlines was a much less successful carrier operating from the US many moons ago!
