TWA Plane In Silence Of The Lambs

Mon Mar 27, 2006 2:43 am

I was watching "The Silence of the Lambs" last night and noticed a scene where a TWA jet is landing at night...Does anyone know what airport it was filmed at?

I know what you mean, it's a 762 correct? If I remember correctly you can see DC in the background so would it be safe to assume DCA?

I thought so, but it is a night scene so it's hard to tell.

I think they show the plane landing and then flash to a view of DC....

Since your talking about that movie...

The interior airport scenes were filmed in the West Dock of the old Greater Pittsburgh International Airport.

The new PIT was used in the movies "Only You" (and features Marissa Tomei boarding TWA plane) as well as "Dogma" but was made to look like Wisconsin.
