Incident @ MAN [27/03/06]

Tue Mar 28, 2006 3:57 pm

I flew from MAN-LGW this morning and took off on 24L.

Whilst waiting to t/o, what seemed to be ALL fire engines at MAN were racing into place for an incoming a/c. Just wondered if anyone knew what this was?

It was at 07:15am.

Many thanks,

Ryan

I've not read of any - perhaps it was a drill, as I presume they do need to practice dispatch every so often! In fact, I think I have seen them at it in the past.
No trees were harmed by this message. However, several million electrons were terribly inconvenienced

Apparantly - courtesy of Pprune - the 0655 VLM to LCY had an electrical problem that lead to a fire warning and the aircraft was evacuated. Maybe this was your case.

This was the 27th March. Ryanlock's post refers to 28th March.
