SIA To Start DXB-DME With 777?

Tue Mar 28, 2006 8:33 pm

I was checking amadeus when i saw that : flights sq376 from DXB to DME using triple seven 200 on Tuesday, Thursday and Satursday. These flights are not shown as codeshare and the only other operator of 777 in DME is vietnam airlines so I think that Singapore airlines actually plans to start this route this summer. Sounds pretty interesting I think.

SQ inaugurated SIN-DXB-DME 3 weekly flights on 02 MAR. Lots of advertisement, presentations and trade events preceding. According to SQ rep in MOW they will drop DXB if loads support this.

Apparently loads between DXB and DME are excellent.
Any truth to this?

Its an interesting route, going via Dubai instead of flying direct from Singapore. But the business is there, Emirates and Aeroflot already fly the same route and both have been doing well.

I think the more interesting aspect is yet another quality carrier choosing Domodedovo over SVO as airport of choice at MOW.
