TAM Airlines A/C Damaged By In-Flight Hail Storm

Thu Mar 30, 2006 11:13 am

A JJ airplane was damaged today after being hit by a hail storm on the way from CWB to CGH. The report says that the windshield was broken and the front tip of the nose was lost.

The pilots finally landed on GRU in search for a longer runway. The report does not provide information on the a/c involved. I believe it must be one of their A319 or A322.
