Fri Mar 31, 2006 7:12 pm

The New Zealand Commerce Commission has found Air New Zealand was merely showing a competitive response when it introduced direct flights between Christchurch and Hamilton, following plans by Origin Pacific Airways to do the same.

I must say, at the time I thought it was a little underhand of NZ to start this flight, but I guess thats what competition does.

Sure does its like any business if a competitor has a product you dont ..Then you stock it as well or get a competing product .. Its done in all industries not just airlines..

Gday folks ..

A first posting to the airliners.net site here ... and have to say, it's great to keep updated with the airline news back home on this site.

I've gotta agree with the above. Unfortunate though it may be for Origin, it was just a case of shrewd market response from NZ.
