I flicked through Airliner World, April 2006 issue, last night and there they said that Air One will take 9 x CRJ900 over the next two years.
The 9 x CRJ900 are from LH
's order for 12 aircraft announced in December 2005. Apparently, LH
has not been able to expand on the pilot scope-clause which currently limit aircraft to max 70 seats in their CityLine ops, therefore the 84-seaters are transferred to Air One.
is disposing of 20 x CRJ200 when taking the CRJ900 - which then go to Air One, will the CityLine fleet shrink its capacity a fair bit or do Air One operate the CRJ200s that will be leaving, so that capacity stays about the same for both Air One and CityLine? Which airline will take the last 3 x CRJ900?
I assume the Styrian-bound CRJ900 is already in production... will that aircraft become the first LH
/Air One aircraft instead, with BBD simply readjusting their order book from 62 frames to 61?
