Do you mean the real thing, or a model??

Where did you get that from?
Haven't heard it's crossed the Atlantic since the trips to Columbia and Canada.

Someone I know is having his chain yanked by a friend, who claims to have done a check flight on the A380 from Lambert, St Louis. Im just double checking that Im not wrong when I say its never landed in the US, let alone in St Louis.

It hasn't landed in the USA yet. No one seems to know when & where the A380 will make its first landing on US soil. Regards.

It won't happen at ATL, ORD, or LAS at least. I saw in this month's Airliners magazine that those airports aren't going to make the modifications needed for one or two daily A380 flights.

I'll have to get a copy of Airliners - they must not be following the threads here on airliners. If I'm not mistaken LH fully intends on bringing in A380's into ORD, and ORD says that they will be ready.

checkmark  My LH sales rep told me ORD is high on the list due to the huge interchange with UA here. Apparently ORD only needs small tweeks mainly in the gates at t5 and the outer gates at t1.

So its definitive, the A380 hasnt visited the US quite yet, and theres no chance a Bombardier employee would have had the chance to do a checkflight on the aircraft?

You're sure he wasn't sitting in a CRJ and eventually mistook it for an A380?? Big grin

Eventually, I think little Bangor, Maine could play host to the occasional A380 diversion. That's about as close as I'll ever come to one! Except maybe to see one contrailing overhead from my home in southern New Hampshire!

Nope, quite a few airline pilots, but no Bombardier ones.

As far as the A380 in the USA, Fedex will be flying them into MEM when they get them, although i don't know exactly when they are supposed to be delivered. (to fedex)
