How Can I Get Schedule Info For JNB?

Fri Apr 07, 2006 1:26 am

I'm hoping to visit Johannesburg and Cape Town in early June and will have a few days to spend in each (bearing in mind I need to fit in Rand and Lanseria as well). I'm trying to find a timetable for JNB in particular in order to decide which days are best to be there (for example which dates see most African narrowbodies, 737s from Zimbabwe, 727s from Congo etc.). I'm not having much luck. Can anyone help?

Also what kind of weather/temperatures could I expect at that time of year?

Candid76,

Although it's neither fast nor particularly appealing looking, the Airports Company South Africa (ACSA, the parastatal which manages all of SA's major airports) have a timetable online. I ran a test, and June's schedules are loaded into the system. Here's the link:

I hope this helps!

Best regards,

Inland the days are usually clear, crisp and sunny; with the odd rain shower or two. Temperatures fluctuate between about 4 deg celcius during the night with an average of about 17 deg celcius during the day. Record minimum temps for JNB is -7 deg celcius during the night and 24 deg celcius during the day.

Thanks for that - sounds like perfect weather for me!

Now who should I fly with between JNB and CPT?

It really depends on what aircraft you want to add to your list.... anything from a DC9 to an A346! There are six airlines to choose from. SA, BA Comair, CE, Kulula, 1Time Aero and Interlink.
