787 Opportunity For LoLong Beach

Fri Apr 07, 2006 3:13 pm

Reading the article below made me think why couldn't the 787-X passenger, freighter and tanker be built in Long Beach plant to supplement Seattle production line. Forgive me for mentioning military AC but it makes scene with the C-17 line most likely ending in 2008.If Boeing would pursue the 787 Tanker project more aggressively I think it would probably go in their favor. They could build Tanker version along side a freight and passenger planes on the same line. At the current rate of orders Boeing will need to do some thing to increase production.
