For You United Buffs - LAX To SLC

Is United operating the CRJ-200ER on the LAX-SLC route? (flight 6466) How many different aircraft are rotated out on this route?
It only takes five years to go from rumor to standard operating procedure.

Yes. The only non-stops are operated with CRJ-200 aircraft. These aircraft are rotated between every system.
Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun.

Thanks for the reply. Anyone flown this route before? Any tips flying into SLC? as much as I fly, I've never flown into Salt Lake.

By every system do you also mean the DL system or just between the LAX/SFO/ORD/DEN systems?

Between the UA systems. The Delta birds can't really be rotated out since only 1 or two are in generic colors.

No, but the generics do.

No. There's more than that. Including the Indy planes there are 9
generics.

Plan on some connecting time since the terminal layout SUCKS! And if it is your destination prepare for a mob at the baggage claim carousels since terminal space is VERY limited for the volume of passengers this airport carries. Last year it had 22 million + and it is only designed sufficiently for 10-15 million.

I've seen lines at the UA check in desks that made me sprint up to the parking garage to check if UA sent a 777 (seriously). That line easily had 200+ people...so make sure you allot time for lengthy check in. Security at peak times isn't a breeze either (although not as bad as SEA...)

odds and ends -
Sales tax is 6.25% - including food (not knowing what TX tax was almost made me miss my IAH-ATL flight...)

Tombstone pizza vending machine inbetween check-in and baggage claim at Terminal 2, if you get something make sure to nuke it for more than 90 seconds

The elevators in the parking garage are REALLY slow, so if you're in a mad rush, take the stairs.

UTA buses leave from P1 (first floor) in the parking garage fairly regularly (route 50 goes to downtown SLC) $1.50, muuuuuuuuuuuch cheaper than a taxi.
