Not sure how that DC/SkyWest flight is doing since it started 1.5 years ago. All I know is that there are some government grants backing it up. DL to Spokane (GEG) is now entirely DC/SkyWest.

GEG has gone back and forth with DL mainline service. The local community throws a fit each time they take it away siting DL has the cheapest cargo rate.
DLC for now maybe they can get a E170 up there like PSC has......
LWS I am hoping sticks the college crowd at WSU/UI loves it especially since the Q400 "is too loud" for PUW

The loads have been good for the most part. The SLC-LWS flights have been oversold for a couple days straight and both flights are oversold tomorrow.

Took it from SLC to LWS late last year, and there were about 40 pax, on a Tuesday. A lot more than I was actually expecting. There was about the same number waiting to fly it back to SLC as well.

Only until June...then they get a mix of CRJs, CR7s, and E170s....

Which is crazy because the Q400 is quieter than the Q200....but that's the crazies in PUW for you (and I can say that, I used to live there, but am now getting the help I need).

I went to the city counsel meeting that they decided this. I even brought some noise data from Bombardier's website but no one listened. It costs a fortune now to fly out of PUW so we drive to geg.
PUW needs cheap seats too  Smile
nice to have the LWS option too (I get to rap 1 stop instead of two)
anyone got any other psc lws or geg news?

Not any good news, at least for PSC:

http://www.tri-cityherald.com/tch/bu...iness/story/7703776p-7614814c.html

"Morasch said there was nearly an 11 percent increase in the number of passengers boarding from 2004-05, this year has already seen a 3 percent decrease.

That's not because there isn't demand for seats. There simply aren't as many available.
-----
For small, regional airports, like the Tri-Cities, that has resulted in 737s -- which carry about 140 passengers -- being replaced with smaller planes that carry only 50."

Last week I booked a flight to TUS for next week and paid about $300 more to flight out of PSC compared to GEG. Not only that but I have an extra stop then I would have out of GEG.

And because as a result tickets prices are finally going up.

That's certainly true. I'll miss the great prices, I was getting very used to them. The fares I am finding now are more what they were like pre 9/11.
