Easyjet BRS Aircraft

Mon Apr 10, 2006 2:17 pm

Does anybody know if Easyjet`s fleet at BRS,is made up of just the A319 now?
I was there on Friday last, and there were 4 x A319 on the ramp.
Where have the 737-7`s been relocated to?

I believe they are currently at 7x A319's, 1x B737-700, with the A319's being EZAD,EZAG,EZAI,EZIO,EZIX,EZIY,EZIZ and the B737-700 being G-EZJU.

The B737-700's would have been relocated to the bases of Belfast, Newcastle, Liverpool and Luton - dominantly the latter two in replacement of the B737-300's. Bristol should be all A319's soon, and in July, they will get a 9th for the 5 new routes. Of course the Newcastle and Belfast flights will remain B737-700 op'd for the foreseeable future.

I think one B737 has moved from BRS to LPL this weekend for EZY's new LPL routes starting this week

I know Luton is earmarked to be one of the last bases to be converted to an A319 base as other bases become converted the 737's continue to be moved to Luton.

Hence why we have seen a large amount of growth announced at Luton in recent months.

The plan is intended to remove the 737-300's from the fleet over time, but Luton remains to have a very sizeable fleet of these.

LTN is the B737 maintenance base isn't it, hence it will be the last base to operate them?

Quoting Ba757gla (Reply 6):

Yes, the twice daily Dortmund flight is operated by the A319. Other than that, no.

I think you're right - BRS is now 8x A319 based, with G-EZIB (an aircraft i flew on just 2 weeks ago) being the aircraft brought in to replace it. Of course these do chop and change when aircraft go into maintenance etc. (for example, G-EZDC has just recently replaced G-EZIO at BRS)

Slightly off topic, but Bristol today became a base for Air Southwest. New flights to Norwich started today, but flights to Dublin stopped (not surprising really - with FR and EI operating larger aircraft direct, not via Newquay)
