Somebody should notify the site that "Delta Airlines" is actually "Delta Air Lines" and that Delta does not fly the "Airbus 300."

Right off the bat their credibility is low.

on the front page: "What is the seat width of first class seats on Delta Airlines Airbus 300?"

Still working out some kinks I guess  Smile

Also there's no indication on most seatmaps for why a seat is bad-- making seatguru a better choice (despite their infuriating site "upgrade")

I think you might be right. On the easyjet page it's got "popular easyjet destinations - boston - logan MA to Halifax Canada" and hubs as London Heathrow (LTN)  Confused

Hmm, seat guru says my seat on my DL red-eye reclines, while this site says it doesn't. I'm in 24D on the MD-88, an exit row seat, with another exit row behind me. Seat guru claims 24E doesn't recline, but 24D has full recline, while this new site claims that neither of them recline. Who's right? Does it have anything to do with the MD-88 interior refurbishments?

Virgin Blue's only popular destination is Detroit to Toronto?? Who knew? (snicker, snicker...)

The seatmaps themselves look to be alright, but they seriously need some work in the accuracy department.

EDIT: I take that back about the seatmaps being accurate...either that, or nobody told me that easyJet has installed a first class. Stelios is really branching out, no? :P

"Beta Release: At-A-Glance Airline Seating Maps & Reviews for 100 Major Airlines for most Airline Flights on over 300 airplanes on carriers such as Southwest Airlines, American Airlines, United Airlines, Delta & U.S. Airways."

It's a Beta release guys which means that they know there are still errors contained on their site and are not done building it up yet. Give it some time  Smile

Maybe it would have been better to wait until it was further along in development before putting it out there.

True, but anything's possible - PRweb does not do much more than check the articles for quality (in terms of grammar and article content) before posting. One of the smartest ways to illuminate a growing competitor these days is posting a press release pointing to an unfinished site. I've seen it before, albeit not often.

(realistically, however, you are probably right)  Smile

Might be BETA but there's still some pretty funny stuff on it. Has anyone got a picture of Gulf Air's new Boeing A340-300? You might catch it in Gulf Air's popular destinations of Burbank to Denver? Or has anyone seen Songs Boeing 747-400 at all?  laughing   rotfl

The picture of the person hugging their seat made me smile. Other than that, I'm sure the technical stuff could manage to be fixed in not too much time.

Since when do websites require beta versions? If the site isn't ready, DON'T HOST IT!!! A website should only be put online when it is ready. What's the whole point of putting a site online if it's all wrong? What are people going to do, call up the webmaster if a hyperlink doesn't work? NO! Get the facts right, then host the site. In the meantime I'll stick with SeatGuru.

*Everything* is a beta these days. Look at just about every Google product out there and a lot of other internet-based stuff. If this place goes to a release candidate, I'll be impressed. Not that I'll probably ever utilize this sight--I much prefer seatguru.

if you click on the "Airbus A300" link it does link it to a Boeing 767-300, so all is not lost. Smile

that being said, they do need to do some working on the site...but it has pontential.....

I know that this is a BETA site an all, but there are so many little and BIG mistakes that I would think that they would wait a tad longer then open it, even if it still is BETA it might look a little better. But I think that if it gets its A into G then we have a REALLY good site.

Yeh, if you try to move your mouse over a seat, a box just comes up and tells you that you are looking @ a picture of a certain plane, e.g: Qantas B747-400. Some planes like the 'Zoom' B767-300 have little boxes saying "Seat Scorecard Review" and under it in a seperate box, "Rows: ***. Seats All: " I doesn't help much tho...

I didn't find www.seatguru.com 's 'site upgrade' that bad.

This website seems to be some late April's fools joke. What made me really laugh are those airplane types you click on and you get a seat map of another plane.
Also, EasyJet0s frequent flyer(written frequent flier) programme and First Class made me laugh my ass off

I think www.seatguru.com is better, it's been almost always accurate everytime I've selected a seat on it and flown.

Already not a fan ... looking at the Air France cabin plans, while the physical layouts may be correct, their commentaries about particular seats could not be any more inaccurate, i.e. the last row of seats not reclining, FALSE !

Well, definitely a BETA site. Tons and tons of errors. When I clicked on in-flight features for YX, all the links took me to AA. For AS it told me about Air Canada. Also, seems to mostly be a ripoff of seatguru.

If you look at Southwest 737-700, they have row 23 with 5 seats, when it is actually the middle exit row with 5 abreast. I guess they just needed it to equal 137 seats.

Inaccurate information regarding YX 717-200. YX has THE most comfortable coach seats in the sky. The exit rows on the website are mis-stated as 12/13. Those were the exit rows on the DC-9s but not on the 717s. They are rows 13/14. Virtually every seat row on the Midwest 717 is a good one except for row 22 which is of a shorter pitch ( great for younger kids actually)
