Asides from the Sanford, Puerto Plata and Varadero routes from Bristol announced yesterday, First Choice have today announced they are launching the first ever direct flights from the UK to Costa Rica. Flights will take off from London Gatwick in May 2007, and resorts featured will be Gulf of Papagayo, Playa Conchal and Tamarindo.
The company is also offering, in another first, flights direct into the area of Samana, located on the north eastern coast of the Dominican Republic. Flights will be fortnightly from Gatwick and Manchester.
The Gran Bahia Principe Levantado hotel is situated on Cayo Levantado, often referred to as ‘Bacardi Island’ after the island was used in the famous Bacardi rum commercials.
Obviously all flights will be on First Choice Airways' fleet of refurbished Boeing 767s offering the award-winning Star Class and Star Class Premier cabins.
A strong indicator that First Choice really is First Choice for longhaul now! Such a shame that MyTravel et all are still so poor on their longhaul service.
