RE: Northwest Pilots To Hold $888M Claim

Quote:
Northwest Airlines Corp. pilots will hold an $888 million claim to be paid in stock when the carrier emerges from bankruptcy protection, the pilot's union said in a presentation to members.

Not bad. Good negotiating.

Quote:
Pilots ended up agreeing that Northwest could form a subsidiary, but only for jets with 51 to 76 seats.

First, good for the pilots.

Now, with no subsidiary flying 100 seaters, what will NW replace the DC-9-30 with?  duck   Wink

Seriously, this paves the way for NW to get the E190 mainline IF the pilots gave enough to make the economics... ok. Of course, it will all come down to the financing.  Sad

Is this enough for NW to emerge? Hmmm... strange to get an agreement before DL's decision? But note, the vote would be afterwards...  Wink
